Motor partners with utilities to accelerate consumer adoption of electric vehicles. Motor engages customers through their utility to offer access to EV ownership, overcoming common barriers to adoption and ensuring both the economic and grid benefits of electrification.

We are an early stage company and raised a $7 million Series A round in Q1 2023. We are headquartered in Arlington, Virginia and operate in Indianapolis, Indiana and Dayton, Ohio. 

Job Description 

Motor is looking for a highly motivated Product Analyst to support defining and executing our product strategy. Joining a small but quickly growing team, you will wear many hats that combine your quantitative analysis and data skills with research and intuition to bring our product roadmap to life. 

You’ll report to the  VP of Product & Technology and work with key cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to all aspects of the product development lifecycle from research and discovery to prototyping to development and delivery. You will also need to proactively analyze and report on user behaviors and use insights to inform engagement strategies.  A fully realized product analyst clearly organizes and delivers work that influences and builds our roadmap while continually advocating for the needs and priorities of our users. 

Responsibilities 

  • Research automotive and e-mobility industries and analyze trends to actively contribute to Motor’s product strategy with insights from competitive intelligence and analysis
  • Analyze and report on user behaviors and their impact on product metrics
  • Have an understanding of Motor’s technology stack in order to efficiently leverage our tools and identify opportunities for enhancement
  • Define quantitative and qualitative testing frameworks to rapidly iterate on product concepts
  • Work cross-functionally to build and communicate key insights and help build the next experiences to help drive EV adoption

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong alignment with Motor’s mission.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 1-2 years of work experience
  • Great collaborator, strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Critical thinking, ability to contextualize and connect information and problem solve
  • Experience in or familiarity with the automotive or mobility industry.
  • Arlington, VA location on a 2 day office + 3 day remote schedule. 

 

Useful Experience

  • Survey writing and user testing
  • Advanced analytical techniques
  • Understanding of SaaS and DTC business strategy
  • Experience specifically working with a web/technology product
  • Familiarity with design thinking techniques and processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field

  • Target Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000/year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
